I’ve been a Busy Bee
Design, WooThemes

On friday evening, I had a little time to myself, so instead of doing the normal stuff (tv, movies or misbehaving in town), I decided to start up Photoshop. I know that sounds incredibly geeky, and I won’t deny that it is… but I enjoyed the heck out of it
A couple of beers later and I had a new theme designed for WooThemes, and we’re planning on releasing it sometime in December. Let me know what you think!

This is going to be my favourite Woo theme. You got skills mr. Jepson.:)

Thanks Emil!

Looks great. Very clean.

Very nice Magnus!! Crisp, clean and nice symetric balance
Keep up the great work

Very clean, strong design. I would def sign up for woothemes when this one comes out.

mmmmm, sleekness and very ad-friendly. but the only thing that’ll make me switch over from flash news is an animated feature slot at the top….

@finkler – I was playing around with having a slider in there, but I just didn’t seem to make it look good. I might end up doing it anyways though

I like the navigation. I have something similar to that in my new website (that is currently waiting to be built). I’ll be interested in how you achieve having a main navigation name and a descriptive one underneath!

Like this one a lot. Could well purchase it. Great work.
Nov 21, 2008
Wow this looks amazing! When will you be releasing it??
Nov 21, 2008
Coding is almost done so hopefully will be ready sometime in december with all different styles and options
I’m leaving for Orlando tomorrow, and have a trip booked to South Africa early december
Nov 22, 2008
Very good news! I really hope you get it up early December as I need a new theme and have been looking everywhere… This appears to be it!
Nov 22, 2008
Looks like I’ll have to add another one to the collection.

Looks nice! What is your thoughts behind the darker grey area in the background under the top menu? Is it to make the top story stand out? Or the top navigation? Im just curios since it’s not the conventional backrground-solution..

Any chance you will be introducing a fluid width version as well?
Nov 24, 2008
Hell, yeah. I like it. Could be more colorfull, however.

Beauty.
Will there be choice of colors?
Can the items in the footer be changed or increased from three to say, five?
Can the header be a little bigger (taller)?
Sorry if questions are obvious, I’m a noob.
Thanks.

Thanks for all the comments. There will of course be a variety of different colors, but this is the default one.
@jerry – Out of the box you can only have 3 widetized columns in the footer, and the header is fixed height, so you’ll need to know html/css to modify those.
I’m currently working on the theme while on holiday, so hopefully we can see a december release, but these are busy times so I might delay it to january, instead of releasing a half-assed version

@Magnus,
Thanks. I don’t know CSS at all, but hopefully somebody at Woo can advise or I can find somebody to help for a few bucks. I need a little more headroom at top, plus different action in the footer.
Also, you might consider adding some of the menu action from Thick (that slide up and down). In fact, has Woo checked out Yoo — as in Yoothemes for Joomla? I have another site in Joomla and they have made some incredible extensions that would be tremendous in WP.
Good stuff, Magnus. We’ll hope for December, rather than January.

It’s almost done, and since I had to cancel my trip to South Africa I’ll be able to finish it within the next days so expect it early next week if all goes according to plan

Dec 7, 2008
I love it. Reminds me a lot of the fresh news theme, one of my favs on woothemes and one of the first themes I ever purchased. This looks fantastic. Nice balance, very clean.

Great looking theme. Makes me want to buy an Audi.
But seriously, I wrote a quick tutorial on changing the logo that comes with the theme and replacing it with an unlimited number of custom logos, getting them to rotate showing a new one for every new visitor to your WordPress blog.
Here’s the link:

Enjoy your success, it’s a fine looking theme.

Hello
I use this theme but I can not use all its features, can anyone share with me some tutorial on how to use it from the basics?
My English is not good, sorry
